The lessons are for education. We work hard to keep them correct, but they are short and simplified. Check datasheets and local rules before you build anything.
Safety
Mains electricity (230 V or 120 V) can kill. Never work on live wiring. For any work on home wiring, switch off at the breaker and use a licensed electrician. You use the information at your own risk.
